The pin badge<\/strong>\u00a0carrying the ‘Just a Thought?’<\/mark> slogan are an initiative from OCD-UK to raise awareness of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and to also use as a self-help tool.<\/p>\n

The message embossed on the badge is ‘JUST A THOUGHT?’, which not only helps explain the condition but also helps remind sufferers during tougher moments that their obsessive thoughts are just that, thoughts!<\/p>\n

The ‘Just a Thought?’ slogan was coined by OCD-UK discussion forum<\/a> user Michelle Dean<\/strong>, who said she hoped the slogan for the badges would help sufferers and non-sufferers alike to understand the condition, which affects two to three per cent of the population. She said: “OCD is so misunderstood. Sufferers all know that what they worry about is just a thought, and I hope that wearing the band will remind them of that when they have a bad moment. The question mark tells the story of OCD. People who don’t have OCD can have a negative thought and put it away without question. For OCD sufferers, it may become an obsession, and that in turn can lead to their compulsions.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The badges are made of hard enamel and are 26.2mm high and 25.4mm wide, with all proceeds going to OCD-UK.\u00a0 Each pin badge comes wrapped in its own individual sealed packet.<\/p>\n
