How do I book a place on an online  workshop?<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

You can find the booking options at the bottom of this page, however, please scroll down and read all of the information on this page before accessing the booking page. It’s important you know more information about the project and the workshops before booking.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Attendees have the opportunity to attend one workshop only<\/h1>\nIt’s important that all parents and carers have access to our workshops, and therefore we are unable to offer tickets to anyone who has already attended a workshop, whether that be online or in-person. Please choose which workshop is suitable for you. Please know that after the workshop you will still have full access to our other support services, including phone support, online support groups, and email support.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

This workshop is for parents and carers with children between the ages of 5-18 only<\/h1>\nUnfortunately, we are unable to offer spaces to parents who have children over the age of 18. This is because the content is only relevant for parents who have children in the CAMHS age bracket (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). These ages are 5-18. Our funding also only covers this particular demographic.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Please only book a ticket if you know you can attend<\/h1>\nWe ask kindly that you only book a ticket if you know you are able to attend. Whilst we understand that cancellations can and do happen for unforeseen circumstances, it’s important to us that we limit the chances as much as possible. We kindly ask that if you book a ticket, but you no longer intend to attend the workshop, that you consider people on our waiting lists and let us know as soon as possible so we can make sure that we don’t prevent other parents from accessing the workshops.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The session will be interactive<\/h1>\nThis full day, interactive workshop will require attendees to have their cameras on throughout the entire workshop. You will also need a working microphone, and we encourage all attendees to test microphones and cameras prior to the workshop. Please note that these workshops are different to our online support groups and the chat box function is not open to chat throughout the presenting parts of the workshop. Emotions <\/h1>\nWe understand there might be parts of the workshop that are anxiety including and may cause attendees to feel emotional. Please know that you will be in a virtual room with 13 other people who all know how you are feeling, you are not alone. We recommend keeping cameras on throughout the workshop so that attendees have a sense of community and support throughout the difficult and emotional parts of the day.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Adults only <\/h1>\nThe workshops are only suitable for parents\/carers, and we cannot offer tickets to children. It’s important that parents\/carers have the space to talk about how they feel, access the support they need, and learn about OCD without the presence of their child, or any others. <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

This is a full day workshop<\/h1>\nWe do not recommend joining late, leaving early, or only attending half a day. If the workshop timings don’t work for you, we recommend booking a different workshop on a day where you are able to attend all day. The content we deliver during the workshop is designed so that if attendees were to join later, there may be some confusion due to missing the prior information which was explored in previous sections. Leaving early is also not advised as in the last section we explore ‘how to help at home’ and it’s not a section we advise to miss out on.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tickets are limited<\/h1>\nOur online workshops take place via Zoom. We will send zoom details to attendees in the week leading up to the workshop, however, we would like to remind people to refrain from sharing the zoom details with anyone else. We purposely limit our tickets so that groups don’t become too big and overwhelming for attendees, and therefore we can only admit people from the waiting room who are on our register of bookings for the particular session they are attending.
