Firstly as a service user, onto a volunteer in different roles and then a member of the management committee<\/p>\n<p>I have struggled with OCD since my teenage years, but it impacted me much more significantly following the birth of my first child 21 years ago<\/p>\n<p>At times, I\u2019ve been successfully able to eradicate my OCD using CBT techniques, for lengthy periods of time. Unfortunately, currently, OCD has quite a grasp on me, having reared its head in a completely different facet which I didn\u2019t notice at first<\/p>\n<p>OCD-UK was my lifeline in 2005 when my mental health was at its worst and has supported me in many different ways, which was why I was privileged to join the management committee.<\/p>\n<hr  class=\"x-gap\" style=\"margin: 40px 0 0 0;\">\n<h5 class=\"black\">The difference we make&#8230;<\/h5>\n<blockquote  class=\"x-blockquote p-large black center-text\" >I just want to say I\u00a0think you are providing a wonderful service .<cite class=\"x-cite\">J<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been involved with OCD-UK since 2005.
